Paris Cullen

Paris Cullen (they/them) is a queer movement artist originally from San Diego and currently based in Brooklyn, NY. P’s current creative endeavors include contact improvisation, breakdancing, journaling existential feelings, dancing on playgrounds, and juggling. They believe in the power of collaboration and collective art making to guide us into new realms of the future and are extremely grateful to all the artists/teachers/guides they've crossed paths and learned with thus far, including Ivan Cofield, Anya Cloud, and Christina McCarthy. Along with performing their creative collaborations at Groundswell Series, CreateART, The Craft, HATCH, In Progress Brooklyn, and Uptown Rising, P has also been an artist in residence at The Floor, Spoke the Hub, and Arts on Site. They have performed professionally with Pilobolus, Alison Chase/Performance, Spacejunk Dance, URBAN | TRIBE, Akiko Tokuoka, Smashworks Dance, Monica Bill Barnes & Co, and more. Paris hosts a queer contact improvisation jam in the city and hopes to empower people to live and dance more fully embodied in their truth. P joined AMT’s Performing Company in 2023.
